There were six regular technical tracks for regular papers:

Regular Track 1: ADVANCED VEHICLES

This topic includes: advanced land, sea, air, and space vehicles; electric and hybrid electric vehicles; lightly hybridized vehicles; diesel hybrid vehicles; hybrid sport utility vehicles; more electric vehicles; fuel cell vehicles; fuel cell hybrid vehicles; military vehicles; multi-wheeled vehicles; heavy-duty vehicles; off-road vehicles; rail vehicles.

Regular Track 2: ENERGY STORAGE COMPONENTS / SYSTEMS
Chairs: Prof. Joeri VAN MIERLO, Vrije University of Brussels-Belgium and Dr. Philippe BARRADE, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne-Switzerland

This topic includes: battery technology; advanced battery and management systems; charge/discharge units; new capacitor technology; ultra-capacitors; flywheels; hybrid energy storage systems; auxiliary power units.

Regular Track 3: MODELING, ANALYSIS, DYNAMICS AND CONTROL
Chairs: Dr. Fernando JTE FERREIRA, Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra - ISR-Portugal and Mr. Aymeric ROUSSEAU, Argone National Laboratory-USA

This topic includes: modeling, simulation, analysis, design, dynamics, stability, and control of vehicular systems/components, CAD/CAE, on-board power management, well-to-wheels and tank-to-wheels analysis, load control, control systems, hybrid control strategies, thermal analysis and management, packaging, educational approaches.

Regular Track 4: VEHICULAR ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS AND LOADS
Chairs: Dr. André MENDES, University of Coimbra-IT-Portugal and Dr. Keyu CHEN, Valeo Company – MEGEVH-France

This topic includes: power system architectures, power management and distribution, 42V PowerNet, higher voltage power systems, military vehicular power systems and loads, harmonics and power quality, conventional vehicle electrical loads, advanced vehicle electrical loads, drive-by-wire, brake-by-wire, X-by-wire, electric power steering, active suspension, automatic cruise controls, engine electrical controls, remote sensing and fault tolerance, wireless sensors and controls.

Regular Track 5: VEHICULAR ELECTRONICS
Chairs: Prof. Luis A. ALMEIDA, University of Porto-Portugal and Dr. Walter LHOMME, University of  Lille1 - MEGEVH-France

This topic includes: active and passive safety systems, X-by wire technology, vehicular sensor, sensor network, embedded operation system, electro magnetic compatibility, vehicular signal processing, micro-electromechanical systems, vehicle/engine control, driver assistance driving systems, adaptive cruise control systems, diagnostics on line, virtual/digital system.

Regular Track 6: VEHICULAR POWER ELECTRONICS AND MOTOR DRIVES
Chairs: Dr. Rui E. ARAÚJO, University of Porto - INESC Porto-Portugal and Prof. Braham  FERREIRA, Delft University of Technology-The Netherlands

This topic includes: converters, rectifiers, inverters, power electronic systems, electric machines, motor drives, motion control, applications in land, air, space, sea, and undersea vehicles, power semiconductors, EMI/EMC, starters, generators, integrated starter/alternators, novel power modules, auxiliary motor drives, drive trains.
